What is Zika Virus?

Zika is a virus that is most active in the hours after sunrise and before sunset. Disease caused by this is usually called Zika disease!
It was first found in monkeys, the monkeys living in the zika forest of Uganda were suffering from this disease, so this disease was called Zika disease and the virus was called Zika Virus!
This disease was introduced in 1947, which today occured in Africa to Asia!
For the first time in 1954, the disease was seen in humans, which were not more dangerous than other diseases, so it may be a reason that scientists have not done much research on its treatment, most recently it has no special treatment and this is the only way to prevent it!

The Zika Virus is so dangerous that if an infected mother have fever so it may transfer to her baby too, and it is also possible to have a child born incomplete and underdeveloped!

The biggest thing is zika virus usually cause no signs, so it makes possibilities of blindness, brain sickness and liver-related diseases.




Symptoms

It is difficult to identify zika disease many times because there is no symptoms, but these symptoms are possible-

  • Fever - also called Zika Fever!
  • Rashes on the body!
  • Head or body ache!
  • Red eyes!
  • Pain in the joints!
  • Blindness deafness
  • Weakness and fatigue





How Zika disease is spread?

  • Sexual : Zika virus transmitted by daytime-active Aedes Mosquitoes! This is the same mosquito that spreads dengue and yellow fever.
  • Blood transfusion : It can be spread by sexual relation with infectod person.

  • Pregnancy : It is also possible for the child born from the infected mother to be infected from these disease, and it includes the possibility of child becoming undeveloped or incomplete!

  • Saliva test

Treatment

There is currently no treatment or vaccine available for this disease, Fever or pain can be treated and protection is advised! There are many ways to avoid and treat the Zika virus, which are commonly used for dengue! Most of the deaths have not been seen from this disease, but the disease is as dangerous as dengue. Like other diseases from mosquitoes, it is prevented and treated, but no vaccine or vaccine is availabe for Zika virus, so its prevention is very important and should be aware of it and forward information to everyone.




Defense and prevention

  • Decreasing mosquitoes bites.
  • Use Condoms.
  • Keep clean everything.
  • Geting rid of standing water in which mosquitoes can reproduce.
  • Wear light clothes
  • After getting the fever or pain, consult with doctor immediately
  • Drink more water
  • Follow High-protein diet.
  • Use Mosquito net while sleeping.
